The Fancy Hemp is woven from jute material. The weave is made up of alternating rows of 2x2 weave and tighter 1x1 weave of similar widths. This hood comes pre-blaeched and is therefore suitable for dyeing into even the lightest colours |

The Twisted Seagrass is a very finely woven body made from fine seagrass fibres. It is woven in a 1x1 pattern although we also have 2x2 and 3x3 weaves available in the same material. The colour is typically "jungle green" going into light brown giving it the typical natural straw look |

The Twisted Paper is an open weave 1x1 pattern which is slightly "see through". Again it can be dyed into any colour from a light base. |

Chinese Palm Fibre Size: 6x4x5" Natural only |
The Chinese Palm Fibre looks very similar to the famous "Panama" from Ecuador except it is much less expensive! It is useful for both men's and ladies hats. This is the only straw which cannot be dyed because of the natural waxed surface of the straw. |

Xian and Seagrass Mix Size: 6x4x5" Natural only |
The Xian/Seagrass Mix is made flat strands of Xian straw and twisted seagrass. This gives it a most interesting texture as well as colour tone which ranges from the dark green of the twisted seagrass to the light brown of the xian straw. |
