Fancy Sisal Range:
.
As the name implies all the hat bodies in this range are made from sisal material. In contrast to the Parasisols and Sisols we stock the hoods are not bleached after weaving. They are still most suitable for dyeing although if light pastel colours are wanted it is better to bleach the hoods with peroxide prior to dyeing:

Wicker Sisal

Size: 6x4x7"

Natural only

The Wicker sisal is a very large hood. It is the most popular in this range. The crown is solid 1x1 weave with the brim being woven in an open "wicker" weave. They make up into a beautiful lightweight and transparent hat.

Honeycomb Sisal

Size: 6x4x7"

Natural only

The honeycomb sisal is also a very large hat body. It is similar in format to the wicker sisal except that the brim has perforations in a honeycomb or lozenge type pattern

Circular Sisal

Size: 6x4x6"

Natural & Navy

The Circular sisal is a large hood woven in lines of differing pattern radiating out from the centre of the crown. It is particularly distinctive when it is dyed due to the light catching the different weave angles slightly differently giving a characteristic sheen to the wider rows

Chevron Sisal

Size: 6x4x6"

Natural only

The Chevron Sisal is woven in a 1x1 weave overall with "chevron" patterns woven into weave in a regular pattern. The chevrons become much more distinctive when the hood is dyed.

Triangular Sisal

Size: 6x4x6"

Natural only

The Triangular Sisal is woven in an alternating triangular and plain pattern over the whole hood. As with all patterned sisals the pattern becomes more pronounced when dyed

Line Sisal

Size: 6x4x6"

Natural only

The Line Sisal is similar to the chevron sisal except that the pattern is a small angled line or "tick". It is our most popular patterned sisal and is also available in cones which are popular when mixed with sinamay brims

Sinamay Sisal

Size: 6x4x6"

Natural only

The Sinamay Sisal is an open weave hood which gives a similar look to sinamay except that it is in body rather than sheet form. It is therefore much easier to form into a finished hat
